Visual Arts

Aims

  1. To develop creativity, critical thinking and communication skills, and nurture aesthetic sensitivity and cultural awareness.
  2. To develop arts skills, construct knowledge, and cultivate positive values and attitudes.
  3. To enable students to gain delight, enjoyment and satisfaction through participating in arts activities.

Objectives for the year

  1. Equip our students to master 21st-century global competencies and transform them into future-ready individuals.
  2. Through Social Emotional Learning, cultivate students' intrapersonal and interpersonal competencies, enhance well-being, and equip for the future.
  3. Strengthening our teachers through professional learning communities to meet the future educational needs for our students.

We had a Tie Dye class (taught by our past student蕭芷澄) with students from Ebenezer School (心光學校).

We joined the Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: stART Up Community Arts Project organized by Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation in January.  Our past student蕭芷澄was the artist who was responsible for this activity.  She first conducted two Batik classes after school for our students. Fifteen students from F.3-5 actively participated in it. They learned the skills and techniques of doing Batik drawing. It was a wonderful experience for them, and they enjoyed it a lot. They created beautiful artwork in the end.

Students learnt a lot in the art tour and it was an eye-opening experience for them.
