Aims
- To stimulate the students’ interest in studying Geography.
- To help students in recognizing and understanding the arrangement of phenomena and features on Earth as well as the inter-relationship and interaction among people, places and environments from spatial and ecological perspectives.
- To help students in developing geographical skills, problem solving skills and basic competencies for further studies and life situations.
- To help students in applying geographical knowledge and skills acquired for the betterment of individuals, the society, the nation and the world.
Objectives for the year
- To develop students’ geographical skills in equipping them for real-life applications.
- To encourage the application of geographical knowledge and skills for personal growth, social development and global well-being.
- To raise students’ awareness of local and global issues, promoting a “reading to learn” culture that broadens knowledge and nurtures a global perspective.
- To equip students with 21st-century competencies, including critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills through field works and outbound trips.

Highlighted Activities
F5 students visited Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change to recognize the impact of climate change in the world.

Field trip at the Geological Park at High Island Reservoir, Sai Kung to explore the special geology and rocks at East Dam.

Two days and one night field camp at Cheung Chau with F5 geography students to investigate the micro-climate and special landform features at Mini Great Wall.

Two F5 students participated successfully the automatic mini weather station workshop organized by Ho Koon Field Studies Centre.

2 groups of F5 geography students got the gold and silver prize in the geological competition organized by Guide-Hong Kong Discovery.
