Our students are encouraged to join various activities and contests to build up their subject knowledge and show their insights. Chinese History students joined some contests and were honoured to receive some prizes. 
Congratulations to Choi Kwan Shing (Class of 2024) on being awarded the Certificate of Recognition in the “Hong Kong Young Historian of the Year 2023-2024” (青年史學家年獎 ) Competition, organized by the HKU MACHS Alumni Association.
In addition, our student Choi Hiu Ying Tracy (6C) won the Second Prize in the “HK Schools Chinese History Research Award Scheme 2023-24” for completing a research paper that provides a thorough review of various historical perspectives on Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty (隋煬帝). She attended the ceremony on 21st December and was inspired by a talk on the "South-west Silk Road", given by the renowned historian Prof. Joseph Ting Sun-pao.
