A visit to our Sister School ─ Beijing Shijingshan Experimental Middle School
We are delighted to share that a study tour led by Principal Cheung, along with 33 students and teachers, was successfully conducted during the post-exam activities day from 29th June to 3rd July. This study tour took place at Beijing Shijingshan Experimental Middle School, with whom we have been establishing a collaborative partnership as Sister Schools since 2018 under the Sister School Scheme by the Education Bureau.
We appreciated the warm welcome extended to us by Beijing Shijingshan Experimental Middle School, which included a wonderful campus tour. Our students had a remarkable time during the visit, gaining valuable insights into Chinese cultural education. They engaged in activities such as Chinese ink painting, Chinese calligraphy, handcrafts, and even had the opportunity to explore 3D printing as a means to reinvent traditional Chinese culture. These immersive learning experiences encourage our students to reflect on and reinterpret our rich Chinese heritage.
The Sister School visit concluded with a sightseeing trip to Shougang Park, the venue for The Winter Olympic Games in 2022. This visit offered an opportunity to witness the urban development of modern China and appreciate the remarkable national achievements since the reforms and opening-up policy of 1978. Additionally, during our four-days tour in Beijing, we visited iconic landmarks such as the Great Wall and Tiananmen Square. Our students actively participated in the flag-raising ceremony, which fostered their national identity and nurtured a positive value and attitude towards our nation.
